  • Thank you for your excellent edits on The Who! --Kiefer 23:48, 2 May 2007 (EDT)
  • Ditto on The Beatles! --Kiefer 23:24, 4 May 2007 (EDT)
  • Likewise for adding album art on Aerosmith. I did a lot of edits, just to get the song lineups on the albums correct, and to make sure all their albums were on there. Just getting that far wore me out. Thanx! -- K1darkknight 05:53, 18 August 2007 (EDT)

The Day That Curly Billy Shot Down Crazy Sam McGee

Hey, what's up with the move of The Hollies:The Day That Curly Billy Shot Down Crazy Sam McGee to The Hollies:The Day That Curly Billy Shot Down Crazy Sam Mcgee? The first was correct according to Wikipedia. ---Kiefer KieferE KieferTalk 23:59, 27 August 2007 (EDT)

Sorry, wasn't sure about that move. I thought only the first letter of each word was supposed to be capitalized? Thanks for pointing it out, I'll leave it the same in future. ;) Twomeanings 13:41, 29 August 2007 (EDT)
No problem, it's why I asked. The only capitalization difference would be if the word wouldn't normally be capitalized, then the initial letter gets capitalized. Any other capitalization (or lack thereof) stays the same. When in doubt, refer to LyricWiki:Page Names. If that doesn't help, feel free to ask me on my talk page. ----Kiefer KieferE KieferTalk 01:49, 30 August 2007 (EDT)

Steve Miller

Thanks for all you did on Steve Miller Band. That was awesome. I'll be working on it too, but I just wanted to say good job. --Åqúàŧĩkī - É - Ŧ 01:59, 4 November 2007 (EST)

The Edgar Winter Group

Hi..before I revert the edits you have made on the above, can I just ask why you think the name should be Edgar Winter Group?  ♫Яєdxx Actions Words 19:40, 26 August 2008 (EDT)

Sorry about that, I had seen a link on Wikipedia (not the most reliable source, I know ;)) that made me think there was no "the", but now seeing an album cover makes me think otherwise. Don't worry about it, I'll fix it up. Twomeanings 19:46, 26 August 2008 (EDT)
Cheers! That article on Wikipedia is confusing the way it's written so I can understand the confusion. I've been a fan since I first heard Frankenstein. Thanks for prompt reply. I'll leave it in your capable hands :-) Regards  ♫Яєdxx Actions Words 19:57, 26 August 2008 (EDT)

Joining to Red - I'm impressed how methodically, thoroughly, preciselly and... silently you are working. Thank you for your valuable input (glad that despite the differences in age & gender our musical tastes are very similar :]). Regards, --Senvaikis (talk) 11:50, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Foundation, The Foundations

I reverted your move of The Foundations:Crippled, The Foundations:Enough & The Foundations:Turn It Up. They either need to be filed under The Foundations or Foundation (band), not Foundation (due to technical restrictions). Let me know if their current location is in error so I can correct it. cheers & happy editing. ∃cho⚡ierr∀ () 02:11, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Ian Dury And The Blockheads

please do not redirect artist pages, instead leave a note here: [1]. ∃cho⚡ierr∀ ( ) 01:57, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

Sorry about that, I'm often a bit too bold in moving artists, I think. I used to mark them with Template:Move, but nothing ever seemed to happen to those pages. Maybe the Page Names and other help pages should be updated to reflect where such pages should go? I think it would be quite helpful to new users (and old users as well ;)).
twomeanings 03:12, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
To begin with, moving the artist page does NOT move the associated song and album pages, even if redirecting of Ian Dury And The Blockheads was correct. You can also post a note to the Community Portal, or ask a sysop. hth ∃cho⚡ierr∀ ( ) 03:28, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
I don't think I've ever redirected an artist without redirecting the "sub pages" as well. The albums and songs are all listed on Special:PrefixIndex, are they not? Are there other pages that need to be moved or other things done to fix mis-titled artists? I promise you, I won't do that anymore without asking for a community consensus first ;), but what about pages like Joplin Janis that have an obvious redirect, and only a few songs to be moved?
twomeanings 13:25, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
1. I'm pointing out your incomplete attempt
2. I don't expect you to complete it, because you obviously don't know you did an incomplete job
3. Instead of an incomplete job, leave a note in the page I pointed out above, because batch move is not for regular users.
4. There is nowhere on lw where batch move is explained in full detail. hint: you'd need a bot, even if you had a manual.
5. You can ask any question you wish on the community portal, at worst it will be moved to approp venue for further discussion.
6. Joplin Janis has nothing to be moved, all the pages in that namespace are redirects, same with Ian Dury & The Blockheads. If you find an artist page that you think needs a move, you know what to do now. All the best :) ∃cho⚡ierr∀ ( ) 14:14, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
Alright, thanks for telling me. It was awhile ago, so you may be right about me not finishing it -- whoops! I was just using Joplin Janis as a past example, it looks like it was all taken care of. I'll go to the portal to make sure I've got the whole moving artists issue cleared up, since I hate to see the duplicate ones just sitting there! :)
Thanks again, twomeanings 14:48, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
EchoSierra is unfortunately not correct. Your methodology is the way to go to do a manual move/redirection. Sorry for the confusion.    Kiefer    talk    contribs    admin   03:28, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
The correct methodology has prevailed and kiefer has Moved on. ROFL ES (Talk) 08:00, May 1, 2013 (UTC)
