Seeed:Aufstehn!

Hi, you moved the annotation for Ear from before "Steh auf jetzt oder nie, Girl" to before "I'm sad". I think this is wrong. I don't know their names, but if you are right with that Ear sings "I'm sad", then I am right, too, because in the video you can clearly see it's the same guy at 1:21 to 1:34 ("Steh auf ...") like from 1:43 to 1:46 ("I'm sad ..."). Please move it back. - Chris 20:30, December 29, 2012 (UTC)

Hm, it seems like Enuff (Peter Fox) sings "Steh auf jetzt oder nie, Girl" so I should be right. And I watched the video. Linusnils (talk) PS: Ich bin Deutscher, genau wie du. 21:55, December 29, 2012 (UTC)
Okay, hi.
Also beides jetzt von Eased? - Chris 01:47, December 30, 2012 (UTC)
- Chris 21:58, May 18, 2013 (UTC)
Ich habe das Problem gelöst. Linusnils (talk) 14:44, September 28, 2013 (UTC)

Verse, Chorus, Bridge

Please do not add Verse, Chorus, Bridge etc. in lyrics. Lyrics are to be indicated as sung. tia --ES (talk) 17:48, April 6, 2013 (UTC)

OK. (Linusnils (talk) 18:39, April 6, 2013 (UTC)
OK? You Silvered a song and added Chorus etc. in it. that is not OK. --ES (talk) 11:26, April 13, 2013 (UTC)
Lyrics as sung, nothing extra. please remember that. --ES (talk) 11:28, April 13, 2013 (UTC)
Sorry, I' won't do it again. Linusnils (talk) 09:24, April 14, 2013 (UTC)

Strange edit

That was a dumb mistake Linusnils (talk) 09:24, April 14, 2013 (UTC)

Block

I am hoping that three days should be sufficient time for you to study the documentation, so when you come back you can clean up your earlier edits. best regards. --ES (talk) 11:40, April 13, 2013 (UTC)

I should be more careful. I already got blocked one time. Linusnils (talk) 17:52, May 1, 2014 (UTC)

Mistakes

Well that make two of us. Blocking you was a dumb mistake too! apologies --ES (talk) 09:30, April 14, 2013 (UTC)

No, I guess, I deserved it. Linusnils (talk) 17:58, May 1, 2014 (UTC)

Lyric formatting

Please don't use notation like "chorus" etc. See the help page for more info. Also, please read up on page ranking before upgrading any more songs to Silver. — 6×9 (Talk) 17:53, May 1, 2013 (UTC)

German translation of Englishman in New York

Hi Linus, you just reverted my corrections on the translation. Unfortunately u fell for a "false friend": "Ignorance" is one of those word you cannot (always) translate literally. The English word has a wider range of meanings than the German one. For the meaning of "Ignoranz" please take a look here: [2]. Does not fit in this case. Please change it back.

I suggest you take a look into the pages history and maybe get back to the latest author before reverting their work. Thank you,  · Lichtweber talk service  21:35, May 1, 2013 (UTC)

I know. "Become a stake" also doesn't mean "ein Steak bekommen, it means "ein Steak werden". Linusnils (talk) 16:16, May 2, 2013 (UTC)

Stellst du also bitte die ursprüngliche Fassung wieder her?  · Lichtweber talk service  14:47, May 3, 2013 (UTC)

Page ranking

Once more, please make yourself familiar with our page ranking rules before upgrading any more pages to Silver or Gold. — 6×9 (Talk) 07:27, May 12, 2013 (UTC)

  • I have to excuse myslef. I didn't put in the chorus at some sites.

from Help:Page_ranking/Songs#Silver

Silver
The penultimate page rank is Silver. Song pages ranked Silver have at least one "Watcher", all the important information has been obtained, checked, corrected and completed. By now the page is fast approaching perfection. You're almost there, but there is still a little more that needs to be done before the song page can be upgraded to Gold.

To Do
To upgrade a Silver song page to Gold, the following details all need to be checked, and where a parameter exists for these in the {{Song Info}} template, updated upon completion to reflect this. (See the section headed Song Info Status below.):

a "Credits" section created beneath the last lyrics tag, detailing the composer and lyricist of the song (see Credits section below), the timed lyrics parameter completed in {{SongFooter}}, linking to the song on lrcdb.org where applicable, the youtube parameter completed in SongFooter, linking to the song on YouTube where applicable, the goear parameter completed in SongFooter, linking to the song on GoEar where applicable,

{{WP-Song}} badge added to the song page beneath the {{Song}} template where applicable, linking to the article at Wikipedia,{{B-Hits}}, {{No.1}} badges added to the song page, together with any other awards, Grammy's etc. that may apply, {{Cover}}, {{Covered}} or {{Cover2}} template added to the page where applicable,
the additional albums the song appears on correctly formatted by the use of the "album2" and "album3" parameter in the Song template (or for more than 2, by using the {{Additional Albums}} template),
all remaining optional parameters in the SongFooter, i.e. those relating to external links, checked and completed, e.g. MusicBrainz, AllMusic, etc.
Certifying
In addition to the above, the lyrics need to be certified. This involves listening to the recording (the same version of the song to which the lyrics relate), comparing this to the lyrics and confirming the accuracy of the same by way of completing the {{Cert}} template. (See also the sections headed Certification and User Name below.)

Refrain

Once more, Refrain, verse, chorus in liedtext verboten ist, danke! --ES (talk) 17:56, May 14, 2013 (UTC)

  • Oh sorry. But at Royce's Song I didn't put the chorus in.
from the documentation: Help:Contents/Editing/Formatting/Songs#Lyrics
The lyrics should always be transcribed as sung and reflect what is sung on the recording

--ES (talk) 18:08, May 14, 2013 (UTC)

And it shouldn't be mentoined who sings what? Linusnils (talk) 18:13, May 14, 2013 (UTC)
I don't understand. the rules still alow to write who sings what. Linusnils (talk) 18:14, May 14, 2013 (UTC)
See our Gold pages at Pink Floyd, there are no Gilmour, Waters, Wright inserted in the lyrics. hth --ES (talk) 18:21, May 14, 2013 (UTC)
Sorry, but in the most Pink Floyd songs there only sings one persons. In some songs Gilmour does sing, in some Waters and in some Wright. But never do two of them in one song or even three. I hope you know what I mean. Linusnils (talk) 17:57, May 1, 2014 (UTC)
You forgot to edit the documentation to reflect your opinion... cheers --ES (talk) 18:54, May 14, 2013 (UTC)

Gold 1

Please do not remove facts from pages that are correct. You just deleted aliases of Gold 1 that are mentioned in the sources (i.e. Wikipedia and others). Please revert this edit. And please check before removing information.  · Lichtweber talk service  20:39, May 18, 2013 (UTC)

Thank you Lichtweber for pointing out about not removing facts from pages. Let me also add that this includes removing content from talk pages, including one's own talk page, unless it is being properly archived. I hope Linus gets it without me having to resort to google translate. Gott Will ;) --ES (talk) 01:54, May 19, 2013 (UTC)
It was a mistake by me. Sorry Lichtweber. Linusnils (talk) 09:07, May 19, 2013 (UTC)

One more warning

Not having learned a lesson from notices above, it is not a good idea to start throwing garbage edits in Artist pages now. Take a day off, check the documentation and 1000 of examples on site on the edits you intend to apply. --ES (talk) 16:35, May 20, 2013 (UTC)

Why garbage edits? Of course I learned my lesson. But why should adding the songs on which the artist is featured wrong? I checked the documentation. And that are no "garbage" edits. And other people also do this. Linusnils (talk) 12:03, May 22, 2013 (UTC)
I think I'm doing so now. Linusnils (talk) 17:54, May 1, 2014 (UTC)

Bali

Hi

Would you please provide any references for artist Bali pages? Just can't find any info about such an artist...
Tia, --Senvaikis (talk) 07:20, June 19, 2013 (UTC)
A friend told me abou his existing. Maybe I shouldn't have believed him. But OK, google at Bali feat Papa Duck & Ace Hood. This Bali exists. But this Bali might be a different one... Linusnils (talk) 15:40, June 19, 2013 (UTC)
Why then have you created all those pages (artist, album, songs), if you even have no idea who's that artist and even if he exists at all? Please, try to refrain from such practice in the future - sometimes it's better to have less, but reliable info.
Be informed - artist page without any available/reliable reference info may be treated as a spam and may be deleted.
--Senvaikis (talk) 17:07, June 19, 2013 (UTC)
I didn't create it. I allowed my friend to use my acc and he made the articles. Linusnils (talk) 17:46, June 19, 2013 (UTC)

Are you kidding? Should I explain that all responsibility for all edits under your account lays only on you, regardless of operator?--Senvaikis (talk) 21:01, June 19, 2013 (UTC)

Sorry. I won't do it again. Excuse me. Linusnils (talk) 16:15, June 20, 2013 (UTC)
Almost a year and a half later, Artist Bali and it's associated album have not begotten a valid reference, by yourself or anyone who may have used your account. And now a whole lot of other lyric sites have copied that spam from here as well. Congratulations! ES (talk) 15:19, November 21, 2014 (UTC)
Please delete that article. Linusnils (talk) 15:34, November 23, 2014 (UTC)

Warum?

Linusnils (talk) 21:38, September 27, 2013 (UTC)
I suggest, you better read the help page again:
"If it is considered necessary to include notations within the lyrics tags, such as the parts sung by the individual performers in a duet, or to indicate that part of the song is "spoken", these notations should be entered immediately above the relevant section and be in bold text".
The notations you made were neither always marked bold, nor were the songs duets. Seriously, I do not understand why you keep doing that although being warned by two admins. Why don't you just stick to the rules?  · Lichtweber talk service  21:58, September 27, 2013 (UTC)
I don't write "Refrain" anymore. Linusnils (talk) 17:54, May 1, 2014 (UTC)
