Underscores in links

Hi BotUm,
I ran into an instance where removing an underscore was a bad thing: [1] (it broke a youtube link). Possibly the check to put in there is just to make sure you only remove underscores from inside of [[double brackets]]?
Btw, overall I love the concept of replacing "_" with " " in links... great work! :) Ttyl,

Yeah, it quit a few times on me and I didn't restart it with regex, just plain text replacing. Sorry about that. I've having it sit idle for now since the job queue is so high. I'll just wait til the five digit range and then fire 'er up again. --Aquatiki - T - E 08:14, 23 August 2008 (EDT)
I don't think you made the regex quite right. It now only replaces the first underscore inside links. You might want to run it recursively until the source no longer changes, or something like that. Or maybe do some complicated construction like
/\[\[(.*?)\]\]/"[[" . str_replace("_", " ", \1) . "]]"/e
if you know what I mean. --Mischko Talkicon EsperanzaIcon 04:31, 9 September 2008 (EDT)
I added recursiveness to it's algorithm. --Aquatiki - T - E 16:25, 10 September 2008 (EDT)

Bot Portal

I know I already told you but >>>>> LyricWiki:Bot_Portal (I started the page but it was Echo's idea). Regards  ♫Яєdxx Actions Words 22:00, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Belated I know but...

Just in case you wasn't aware, I wanted to let you know that this regex command removed the artist name and wiki link.  ♫Яєdxx Actions Words 23:46, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, that is a little late! ;-) --Åqüã†ìкí ƒΔΣ 04:02, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
You may want to look at that a little closer...a user called Kingnee did that. It's just that I hate the redundancy of all those explicit mentions of the same name. And now this poor bot is being blamed for it! Oh noes!

Rfl...I am awfully sorry BotUm. I trust in time you will be able to forgive me. http://www.xs4all.nl/~ernstmul/images/msn60/smile019.gif  ♫Яєdxx Actions Words 18:16, 17 November 2008 (UTC) So we don't need artist parameter in footer anymore if star is on the artist page?
We don't need |artist at all. All that is required is |fLetter. Otherwise it defaults to PAGENAME, so repeating that over would be redundant. For that reason, I remove redundant fields as I see them.

PS: Take a look: in the case of The Unicorns, the album template ends with exactly the same output.
Aah..only if an alternative name needs to be specified for links. I've just been copying and pasting that template for so long...lol. Thanks KingNee!  ♫Яєdxx Actions Words 15:40, 18 November 2008 (UTC) EDIT:I am amused http://www.iconwild.com/smilies/happy/happy-smiley-039.gif

Will This Be A Problem?

As I go through SNLI identifying Languages, if there are a small number to be assigned for a certain artist I do them by hand as I assume that there is some setup involved for the bot to do them. I have just started to put the relevant star as well, when I remember to do so. If I remember to do that I also remove the Review or Accent tag if there is one. It finally dawned on me that I might as well do this as long as I am in the page anyway.

Will that cause a problem for you, will it be of any help to you or does it not affect you one way or another?

JimCubb 18:17, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

This bot is presently just going through Category:Review Me and removing the category. At the same time, if there is no star, it puts in Green. So, no, no problem. --Åqüã†ìкí ƒΔΣ 20:17, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

I just hit 17 songs that need to go from Green to Violet because they are in German and it doesn't appear that any of the upper-level ASCII characters translated correctly. I will do them by hand.

Green in stereo

See here – I doubt this will occur very often, but you might want to adjust the script anyway. -- 6x9 (Talk) 02:40, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the tip! --Åqüã†ìкí ƒΔΣ 02:46, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Your bot added "star=Green", but it was already written. Acccept 21:21, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Good catch. I'll let S2E2 take care of upgrading these pages from here on out! --Åqüã†ìкí ƒΔΣ 04:37, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
