Welcome to lyrics.wikia.com, Meerkat-X!
(Thanks to Sean)
LyricWiki is a free, editable lyrics database that has over 2,054,058 pages of lyrics, albums and artists. Included in that database can be songs from any genre, country, or language imaginable. Whatever you are into musically, there is likely something here for you.
A good place to start is by checking out our FAQ and Help pages. The Formatting Artists, Formatting Albums and Formatting Songs are particularly useful sections. Another way to familiarise yourself with the way we do things here at LyricWiki is to look at some of the Artist, Album and Song pages with a Gold star in the top right corner.
If you need further assistance, you can leave a note on the LyricWiki Help Desk. The Help Desk is on the watchlists of the site administrators, so you are likely to get an answer fairly quickly. LyricWiki also has its own chat room, so you might also be able to obtain answers to some of your questions by asking the helpful LyricWikians that frequent there.
If you wish to make comments or suggestions about the site, or if you have any site-related questions, the best place to post these is at the Community Portal. The Community Portal is where most of the discussions about the site and planning goes on.
Important: LyricWiki breaks some of the usual capitalization rules for artists, albums, and song titles. Since this applies to all languages using the Latin alphabet, please be sure to familiarise yourself with our policy by reading LyricWiki:Page Names.
-- The LyricWiki team.
I love music, and Wikipedia. I'm a frequent editor, and have created many pages for bands on Out of Line and DWA labels. These include:
Rave The Reqviem
Many of the lyrics I have gotten from the lyric booklets, or the artists themselves, and have spent many hours accumulating and transcribing these to add to LyricWikia.
I have also edited and refined other articles such as:
Lord Of The Lost
Cradle Of Filth
I will continue to contribute and expand, adding more lyrics and more artists. I have an intermittent internet connection, so I come and go, but always finish anything I begin. I have OCD, and always aim to be as comprehensive as possible, and add lyrics to all songs.
