Someone's Opinion?

Tankian does not always make sense. He is a man who uses form as his opiate for the masses, creating lyrical bliss out of technical execution. Lie Lie Lie proves to be a confusing song and its message is nuanced. It shows hints of incest but also suggests that love between the opposite sexes is falsetto. Falsetto in voice is accepted technique but not the genuine "texture" of a vocalist. In the music video for Lie Lie Lie, an animation depicts a male character throwing his lover off a cliff. At the end of the video the male takes his own life, showing love between souls to be a dead end journey. It seems that in order to understand Serj Tankian's work one must understand his philosophy and art.
