December 29, 2014: P' 'Na Spaccimm 'E Cacata by Katanka

An intimate backsighting introspection into the darkest surroundings of the bottom of your heart, the bottom of your head, your bottom itself: you can miss everything, and the song suggests you something you might, but you can't miss this one, for sure, it's a must, it's a lust

December 28, 2014: Mary Behind The Counter by Assemblage 23

Believe it or not, this is actually on a true event Tom Shear experienced during his college days, where he visited a convenience store often and "Mary" was an employee there who was very religious and would try to talk to people about Jesus out of the blue. Interesting to write a song of what memorable but bizarre moments you face in your life.

December 27, 2014: Right Said Fred by Bernard Cribbins

It always makes me smile! Takes me back to when I was a kid listening to the radio on a Saturday morning in bed. A looooong time ago...

December 26, 2014: The Sound Of Settling by Death Cab For Cutie

I nominated this song because it gave way to a significant increase in popularity when it was featured in the popular mobile game Tap Tap Revenge. This single from Transatlanticism consists of a thought-provoking message, that time is independent of human desire, and conveys it in a concise and catchy tune. Fans of the game flocked all at once to listen and download DCFC's other music, creating an entirely new section of the fanbase.

December 14, 2014: (Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay by Otis Redding

I nominated this song, because this is a great song by a legendary artist. Otis Redding had a phenomenal voice which he uses to great effect on this song. Trivia: the whistling at the end of the song was just filler that Otis was supposed to change to lyrics after performing in Madison, Wisconsin. Sadly, he died before he could do so and the song went on to become the first posthumous single to top the charts in the US.

December 13, 2014: Song For No One by Miike Snow

Although the song is about loss of love, its upbeat rhythm and especially the mosquito-like guitars set an optimistic mood to make me always smile - life goes and "you carry on".

December 08, 2014: We've Both Changed by Patrick Doyle

It's passionate and invokes feeling. The song feels like two different ones that have found their common ground and cohesiveness. It has two rhythms and has a story within the music (not just because it's from a movie itself). But with that point, because it is from a movie with a great amount of character and feeling in it, this song brings forth emotions related to the trials of the characters in the movie.

December 07, 2014: We Are Jehovah’s Witnesses! by Watch Tower Bible And Tract Society

Because We are Jehovah Witnesses!!! It will be my birthday and I'm going to play bingo and then chess to celebrate my birthday and Christmas, I am inviting my non Jehovah witness friends so I want them to hear this song whilst we discuss politics (mainly David Cameron because I love him!) whilst eating the Girl's scout cookies and saluting the Great British flag. My biggest aspiration is to be the first female Elder.

Thank you for your time. I take much pride in writing this please make it the song of the day (if you feel kind enough it could even be song of the year)

December 06, 2014: Let Me Be Your Armor by Assemblage 23

Basically, this song illustrates one's desire to protect someone (like a lover or such) and do that person plenty of good, from what's described within the lyrics.

December 05, 2014: Diggs Road by Whitechapel

The most emotional song yet of Whitechapel and the whole genre of death core. Truly describes a burning heart, not only with lyrics, but with heartbreaking sound.

December 04, 2014: The Voice Within by Christina Aguilera

It inspires me a lot. It touches my heart and it makes me cry everytime I listen to this song. The meaning of the song is unusal and its tune is perfect. It gives me hope and a chance to do something beyond everything. It makes me believe in everything I do. You need to understand the lyrics and the meaning of the song before you realize that it actually makes people realize that believing in yourself is the only weapon that we have to do something that we believe for. Just believe in yourself.
